Where I Come From
Born 1995
I was born the first son to a family at Kontiolahti, place literally called a "Bay of Bears". At the turn of the millenium, we finally settled to southern Lapland, where I grew up.
I studied first in Jyväskylä, Finland, and later in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Where the Art Comes from
My first passion was nature. I spent countless hours learning from every book I could get my hands on. Later, I was introduced to fiction through fantasy books, films and mythology.
Ever since then, I've worked to commit myself to creativity. I draw inspiration from my experiences, my dreams and from the people I work with.
Where I've Learned the Craft
Multi-instrumentalist, composer, conductor, arranger & orchestrator
I studied composition in Scotland and piano in Jyväskylä. I've also studied philosophy, journalism, psychology and musicology.
I find professional pride from committing myself to each task I pursue. I have played in big bands, folk ensembles, metal groups, musical orchestras and electronic music performances. I have studied pop/jazz piano, conducting, arranging, producing and orchestrating.
Besides music and literature, I also have experience as a culture journalist, columnist, film theater employee and a choir conductor.
As a Person
Culture, art, nature & science
I always go back to nature, books and films for inspiration and perspective. Ever since I was young, I've been passionate about learning and imagining new possibilities, and this is something that is also evident from the way I approach music.
